Vale (pronounced Valley) was one of our Class of 2015 Senior Models. She describes herself as bubbly, hilarious, and charming, all of which I would 100% agree with! Her contagious smile is the first thing you notice about her, so it’s hard not to smile back. She loves flowers, so the botanical gardens was the PERFECT place for her session!
When I asked her what she was looking forward to about her senior year, she said, “I think all my life I’ve been so busy just running to places, stressing out, and work work work. Not my senior year though, I want to have healthy fun and make meaningful relationships. I want to enjoy the last of my teenage years. I’m also looking forward to discovering my future and continue growing as a person. Don’t get me wrong! I’m still going to be an awesome student, but I also want to create deep meaningful relationships and memories that will last for a life time.”
She definitely WAS still an awesome student, which is evident by the fact that she will be attending Princeton University in the fall on a scholarship. She wants to be a doctor without borders and spend her life saving people in Africa. If you are looking for inspiration, that would be the definition of it.
Vale was born and raised in Mexico, and moved to America just a few years ago, when she had to learn English from scratch! Through this experience, she has said that she’s become a pretty confident person and that she can talk to pretty much anyone. She is involved in a bunch of activities, such as Montrose Key Club (Vice President), Philosophy Club, Knowledge Bowl, B.I.O.N.I.C., National Honor Society, City of Montrose Council Youth Division, District Health Committee, and she somehow finds time to work part time at Ted’s Steakhouse and Coffee Trader!!
Good luck with everything, Vale, and don’t forget about us little folks in Montrose while you go save the world!
