I love me some quality time with my boys! Shane is the handsome human (my husband!), Willy is the fiery, feisty, little one, and Boomer is the dopey, brown, big one!
Megan is my sister-in-law, but you may hear me affectionately refer to her as my sister-out-law. I was so excited when she approached me about having a special session with her dog, Max. Max is an 11 year old golden retriever, and she’s had him since he was born. His mom, Missy, was my husband’s dog since he was 9 years old, and Max was one of her puppies. Max got an infection when he was just a little guy, and Megan had to take care of him, which helped them form a very special bond. When they were weaned and ready to be sold, Megan just couldn’t let him go, so he became a part of their family. When Max was bred several years later, the Daly family kept one of his sons, Marcus. So they have had three generations of golden retrievers in their household!
Max has some health issues currently, but he’s still a feisty fellow. He still chase the ball, but Megan has to limit him to just a few sprints because of his bad joints. Megan wanted to celebrate his life with a photoshoot, so she can remember their special bond many years from now, and share these memories with her children someday. Max loves Megan so much, and loves to lay by her feet when she’s eating dinner and watching TV. They had some funny moments, as well as tender moments, at their celebration session.
Thanks for letting me be a part of your memory making. I love this quote about dogs, that especially speaks about your relationship. “He might be only a part of your life, but for him, you are his whole life.”
My mother and father in-law celebrated their 30th wedding anniversary last month, and I’m so thrilled to share these photos with you today! They told me that they didn’t have a professional photographer for their actual wedding, and they were excited to have me capture their party 30 years later. Friends and family far and wide gathered in their future apartment on their property on May 31st. Now that their kids have moved out (and one married me!), they no longer need their 4 bedroom house, so they plan to rent it out when this Goldilocks-sized living quarters is drywalled and move-in ready!
This smashing party was organized by Megan, Kyla, Shawna, Danio, Shane, and me. We are so glad that everyone had a good time, and that my in-laws were able to see some friends they last saw when they said “I do” 30 years ago- even the best man showed up!!
If you are interested in Two:20 Productions to capture your anniversary party, please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org. We also do anniversary portrait sessions! We have many couples who tell me that the only time they have had professional portraits of themselves together was at their own wedding and their children’s weddings. This is a tragedy- don’t let this happen to you! Schedule your family portrait session this summer- you’ll be SO GLAD you did!!
