I was very excited to capture this family of three, especially because of the one and a half year old cutie that would (of course!) be the center of the shoot. Her parents, Aimee and Brad, described the playfulness and curiosity Annabelle possesses during this stage in her life. In our session, they desired to capture her sweet personality and never forget the child-like wonderment she has today.
An outdoor shoot was perfect for the Chavez family because of their love of the outdoors. Aimee loves to photograph nature and they all love to bike, ski, and camp in beautiful Colorado. When Brad isn’t building houses, Aimee isn’t helping victims of domestic violence, and little Annabelle isn’t spending time with her grandparents, they love to cook and eat together, visit with family and friends, and play together. It’s apparent that Annabelle soaks up every minute she spends with her parents and loves to be with them. When we were losing her interest and attention, we decided to bring out the bubbles. She was absolutely enchanted and for the rest of the shoot wanted to play with the bubbles. This gave us the opportunity to capture some very adorable candid pictures without posing (the best kind!).
Of course we had to capture the very sweet couple, Brad and Aimee. This part of the shoot was so easy because of the way they constantly looked at one another. Annabelle will be able to look at these pictures and have evidence of the love her parents share, and the love they have for her. I am so excited to share these pictures with you all!
